Position:  Citrix Infrastructure Engineer

Location:Remote, preferably in Pittsburgh or North Carolina

 

EXL is looking for an exceptional Citrix Infrastructure Engineer skilled in a diverse range of enterprise datacenter technologies.  Expert knowledge of datacenter hardware, software, and operations required to maintain high service levels, optimal performance, while maintaining and shaping strategic direction. The Sr. Citrix Infrastructure engineer will work closely with multiple different internal teams to ensure efficient operations for both internal corporate based and customer facing hosted applications.  Heavy focus on security and compliance is a key responsibility of this role.  This role will involve translating business requirements into technical solutions, meeting security, compliance, SLA, disaster recovery, and operational components.  Must have experience leading large technical teams.  The position will architect, design and lead disaster recovery/business continuity services, including periodic DR/BCP test exercises.

 

This role is an escalation point for 24 x 7 systems and staff are on call to support production systems.  This position also requires oversight and completing work during maintenance windows (nights and weekends).

  • Expert in Citrix Technologies (AppDelivery, Netscaler, StoreFront)
  • Expert in Storage Systems (Dell/EMC)
  • Expert in Compute Hardware (Cisco UCS, Dell, etc)
  • Expert in Hypervisor Administration (VMWare)
  • Expert in Server Operating Systems & Group Policy (Windows)
  • Expert in Backup/Archive (Dell/EMC, Cloud Endure, Glacier)
  • Experience with Network Administration (Switching, Routing, Firewall)
  • Experience Scripting of system administration tasks, e.g. bash, PowerShell, python, etc. (required)
  • Experience with Cloud (Amazon Web Services)
  • Experience with Enterprise Telephony Solutions (Avaya)
  • Exceptional ability to configure, maintain and troubleshoot infrastructure, hardware, software, and systems connectivity.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex technical tasks, analysis and diagnostics
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Experience industry compliance and security requirements, SOC1/2, SOX, HIPAA, HiTrust, PCI DSS, ISO27001

Qualification and Experience:

  • 5-7 years Managing Citrix Environments
  • 5-7 years Managing VMWare Environments
  • 5-7 years enterprise hardware (Storage, Compute, Network)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to process and controls
  • Experience managing financial budgets
  • BS in Computer Science, or equivalent
