Sr. Claims Specialist

SUMMARY:  Sr. Claims Specialist is responsible for fully developing and supporting the Claims/Warranty process by overseeing and completing the required technical claims to receive timely payment from the OEM for services provided by VSE.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Oversees and monitors processing of assigned claims in a timely manner.
• Working closely with the sales team, customers, and the OEM to ensure all claim information is correct and making changes when necessary to process claims & receive payment quickly.
• Generates reports, analyzes trends, takes actions to improve claim TAT, payment receipt & revenue recoup.
• Working with the finance team to ensure payments are being allocated properly and in timely manner and assisting in escalations to the OEM when required.
• Consistent learning and understanding of changes made to Service Bulletins and Technical data.
• Trains, monitors, and provides guidance to claims/warranty team regarding Service bulletins, technical data, and process changes.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates degree
  • OR an additional 2 year specific work experience in lieu of degree.
• 3 year of relevant/technical work experience.
• Technical Sales and/or Customer Service experience.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Effective time management, able to identify and prioritize tasks necessary to meet long and short-term objectives.
• Collaborative, resourceful, and adaptive person.
• Experience with prioritizing and coordinating.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient in MS Office suite, strong Excel skills and experience with Microsoft PowerBI or another BI tool.
• Knowledge of Component Control Quantum or equivalent.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven record of reliability and consistent attendance.
