Sr. Claims Specialist
SUMMARY: Sr. Claims Specialist is responsible for fully developing and supporting the Claims/Warranty process by overseeing and completing the required technical claims to receive timely payment from the OEM for services provided by VSE.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversees and monitors processing of assigned claims in a timely manner.
- Working closely with the sales team, customers, and the OEM to ensure all claim information is correct and making changes when necessary to process claims & receive payment quickly.
- Generates reports, analyzes trends, takes actions to improve claim TAT, payment receipt & revenue recoup.
- Working with the finance team to ensure payments are being allocated properly and in timely manner and assisting in escalations to the OEM when required.
- Consistent learning and understanding of changes made to Service Bulletins and Technical data.
- Trains, monitors, and provides guidance to claims/warranty team regarding Service bulletins, technical data, and process changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates degree
- OR an additional 2 year specific work experience in lieu of degree.
- 3 year of relevant/technical work experience.
- Technical Sales and/or Customer Service experience.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Effective time management, able to identify and prioritize tasks necessary to meet long and short-term objectives.
- Collaborative, resourceful, and adaptive person.
- Experience with prioritizing and coordinating.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in MS Office suite, strong Excel skills and experience with Microsoft PowerBI or another BI tool.
- Knowledge of Component Control Quantum or equivalent.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven record of reliability and consistent attendance.
