The Leave & Wellness Administrator is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability. The Leave & Wellness Administrator handles all tier 2 customer service issues and administers the companies FMLA/leave policies.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Handles all tier 2 issues of customer service for team members and HR managers, in a timely and professional
  • manner
  • Administers FMLA/ Personal Leave of Absences, Paid Parental Leaves and manage team member leaves in
  • UNUM
  • Sends Leave of Absences premium letters, reviews monthly eligibility files and audit for errors
  • Reviews weekly Unum Paid Pregnancy Disability Leave reports for program compliance
  • Reviews weekly no Pay Reports and weekly Workers Compensation reports.
  • Works with vendors to resolve escalated issues for our employees.
  • Assures integrity of Health & Welfare and Retirement elections data in the benefit admin system
  • Provides back up support to Benefit Specialist III and Benefits Manager
  • Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization

 

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in HR and/or benefits administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study preferred
  • Ability to perform under limited supervision
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
