PAY RANGE: $92,345.00 - $101,000.00 ANNUALLY
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Instructional Design QA/Editor ensures the quality, consistency, and educational effectiveness of learning content across digital and instructor-led formats. This role partners closely with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and project managers to review and refine learning assets, ensuring alignment with brand and style guides, learning objectives, and accessibility standards.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
- Review course and lesson maps, eLearning modules, facilitator and participant guides, assessments, and job aids for clarity, grammar, tone, and instructional alignment.
- Validate that content adheres to established instructional design standards, including Bloom’s Taxonomy, adult learning theory, and our internal design process.
- Conduct QA checks for SCORM compliance, LMS readiness, and accessibility (e.g., alt text, color contrast, close captioning).
- Provide constructive editorial feedback to designers and content developers to enhance learner engagement and comprehension.
- Ensure consistency in voice, formatting, and terminology across all learning assets using the LED and brand style guides and templates.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve content discrepancies and ensure readiness for deployment.
- Maintain documentation of QA processes and contribute to continuous improvement of editorial workflows.
- Uplevel the instructional design skills of the team by identifying skill gaps and themes based on work product reviews and developing and executing a plan to address.
- Create learning assets as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned in the advancement of the department's goals.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK:
- Effective oral and written communication skills required to talk to all levels of staff.
- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal, personal computer, and other standard office equipment, including photocopier, facsimile machine, and telephone.

- INTERNAL: All levels of staff and branch/department managers.
- EXTERNAL: Vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, English, Education, or related field.
- EXPERIENCE: 5+ years’ experience in instructional content editing or QA in a corporate or academic setting.
- KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
Instructional Design & Learning Expertise

- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
- Ability to design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials and programs.
- Knowledge of instructional strategies, learning theories, and assessment methods.
- Experience applying accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) to digital learning content.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, SCORM packaging, and eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Combined sitting, standing, and moving throughout the day performing work-related functions.

- Hearing within the normal range required. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
- Frequent travel may be required.
