How You'll Contribute:
We are seeking a Production Networking Engineer with deep expertise in live broadcast networks to support high-stakes sports productions across venues, studios, and remote workflows. In this role, you’ll design and manage low-latency, high-reliability network infrastructures that support video, audio, comms, and data transport in real-time. This is a hands-on, high-impact role essential to the delivery of live sporting events across digital and linear platforms.
What You'll Do:
1. Event Network Design & Deployment
- Architect and deploy broadcast-grade IP networks to support live video/audio workflows at sports venues, OB trucks, and remote production hubs.
- Plan and execute temporary or permanent network builds tailored for fast-paced game-day environments.
- Design and segment VLANs for media, comms, control, and IT services across complex workflows.
2. Real-Time Broadcast Support
- Provide onsite or remote network engineering support during live games, tournaments, and studio broadcasts.
- Monitor system performance and respond to issues with minimal disruption to live output.
- Interface with engineering, broadcast ops, and production crews to coordinate signal flow and infrastructure uptime.
3. Media-over-IP & Synchronization
- Configure and support IP-based audio/video (SMPTE ST 2110, Dante, AES67, NDI) in production networks.
- Manage timing and synchronization using PTP, GPS-based clocking, and boundary clocks for IP media systems.
- Integrate networked control systems, replay servers, cameras, and graphics over IP.
4. Network Health & Security
- Implement monitoring solutions to proactively detect packet loss, latency, jitter, or bandwidth spikes.
- Maintain security best practices, including access control, device hardening, and firewall policy management.
- Ensure redundancy and failover strategies are in place for critical production paths.
5. Documentation & Collaboration
- Create and update network diagrams, IP maps, and event-specific configs.
- Collaborate with vendors, integrators, and league IT teams to ensure compatibility and compliance.
- Provide post-event debriefs and lessons-learned summaries.
What You'll Bring:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Networking, Broadcast Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Experience:
- 5+ years in live sports broadcasting, AV networking, or event production engineering.
- Proven success in high-pressure environments (live stadiums, arenas, OB units, etc.).
Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of L2/L3 switching, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), multicast (IGMP), and QoS.
- Experience with Cisco, Arista, Netgear M4250/4300 series, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with SMPTE ST 2110, Dante, AES67, and PTP timing.
- Strong skills in Wireshark, Crestron/Control systems (optional), and cloud-based production tools.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP
- Dante Level 2 or 3
- SMPTE ST 2110 training
- AVIXA CTS / CTS-D

Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.
