POSITION SUMMARY
The IPS Provider will help people living with behavioral health conditions work at regular jobs of their choosing and provide employment support. The IPS Employment Specialist plays an important role in rehabilitation programs, contributing significant value to multidisciplinary teams. The IPS Employment Specialist will support either individually or in a group setting 50 or more individuals. The IPS Employment Specialist will also develop relationships with local businesses, employers and other community stakeholders in order to help individuals obtain gainful employment that matches their skills, abilities and desires.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Meets with their primary caseload on a frequent basis in order to develop Individualized Action Plans that will help them to achieve their employment and other goals.
• Knowledge of and adherence to the 8 Key Principles of Evidence based practices in OMH Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
• Communicates as part of a team to ensure best possible treatment for the individuals in program.
• Completes documentation including but not limited to, individual/group service notes, treatment plans, and all employment related validation documentations as per regulatory and quality standards.
• Takes part in CORE/PROS program staff meetings, treatment plan reviews, and other clinical team meetings when appropriate.
• Works alongside the participants to prepare for the world of work including the development of resumes, benefits counseling, meaningful training, and volunteer skill building opportunities and soft skills.
• Provides coordination of care with families, supports, and other stakeholders to ensure quality treatment and support for the individual looking to work.
• Conducts off-site activities, including direct service provision, collaborative documentation, job development, and participant support at various community locations such as ACCES-VR offices, businesses, schools, libraries, homes, and training sites,
• Delivers a range of employment related services to program participants to support skill building and preparation for job opportunities.
• Facilitates a variety of employment groups daily and weekly aimed at helping individuals develop the skills needed to move forward on their life goals.
• Ensures all necessary data is entered in the NYESS system.
• Completes all required agency, CPI, and OMH trainings.
• Provides ongoing visits to individuals working in the community at their location of choice.
• Develops job leads and connections with employers in order to place individuals in gainful employment.
• Supports individuals in realizing their employment goals.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Ensures that all required documentation (paper and electronic) is completed /processed appropriately, in a timely manner, and meets quality and compliance thresholds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Education:
o Bachelors degree in social work, psychology, or another related field required.
• Experience:
o A minimum of 6 months experience in human services or a related field is required.
• Specialized Training, Licenses, Certifications:
o Not required, training will be provided upon hire as needed
• Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
o Communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Other Requirements:
o Must be at least 18 years old
o Must have a valid driver license and satisfy criteria to be an agency driver
o Willingness to travel
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is performed in-person. Travel is required and expected travel is about 50% of the time. The person in this role will work in various FREE and community locations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Employee is required to sit, walk and stand for prolonged period of time (at least 8 hours).
• Employee is required to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Employee is required to operate standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax and filing cabinets.
• Employee is required to reach with hands and arms.
• Employee is required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or stand on a stool as needed.
• Employee is required to be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

***************************** The Pay Range for this job is $26. This range is based on what FREE reasonably believes it will pay an employee as for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including, but not limited to, an individual’s experience, qualifications, services provided, geographic location, relevant skills, and other factors permitted under federal, state, and local laws.
