Young Adult Services - Methuen

Wayside has a Part-time (30 hours per week) opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Rapid Rehousing Case Manager to provide case management and support for homeless and at-risk young adults (18-25) in the community. The Rapid Rehousing Case Manager provides advocacy, support, and community connection to assist young adults to overcome barriers to self-sufficiency and stability. This can include though not limited to assessment of individuals abilities regarding transportation, medication administration, health/wellness, budgeting and substance abuse and development of treatment plans around relevant needs.

Salary Range: $23.00 - $24.50/hour + sign-on bonus (half paid after 30 days of employment and half paid after 90 days of employment/pro-rated for part-time).

What You Will Do:  

  • Supporting young adults in accessing basic needs.
  • Assessing young adults’ stability through use of the principles of Positive Youth Development, Trauma Framework ARC Foundations, Permanency, and Motivational Interviewing models.
  • Hold regularly scheduled meetings with the young adults in their home communities of choice.
  • Networking and building relationships with community partners and resources as well as internally within Wayside.
  • Management of young adult paperwork including completion of yearly assessments, meeting progress notes and service plans.
  • Participation in area System of Care meetings as well as regular collaboration with the projects Youth Action Board.
  • Managing multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of prior experience working with young adults at risk to access community resources to assist in overcoming barriers of housing instability preferred.
  • Driving in the community is a requirement of this position; please ensure you have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

We will train you in:  Motivational Interviewing; Attachment, Regulation and Competency Model (ARC); Courageous Conversations; CPR and First Aid.
