Claims Research Assistant

Job Overview:  This position is responsible for completing the data entry of all cash in transit claims, in a fast-paced work environment, at the direction of the company’s National CIT Claim Manager. The position requires technical and analytical skills to ensure proficiency with the Company’s claim systems, data analysis and research tasks.  High volume work environment.  The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing and maintaining key relationships with management, field loss prevention, operations personnel and our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support claim entries using cash in transit/cargo claims system.
• Enter and pay claims utilizing established guidelines, both timely and accurately.
• Processing of payments, with and adherence to the Company’s claim guidelines.
• Accountable for interaction with internal and external customers, providing a high caliber of professional service and support.
• Willingness to take initiative, anticipate issues and offer solutions.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Primary Qualifications:

• High School diploma
• Minimum of 1 - 2 years’ data entry experience, desired.

Individual Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail to provide quality service with accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task successfully.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
