Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced stock plan professional to join our Total Rewards team in a dynamic new role. The Senior Manager of Equity Plans will be responsible for managing the administration of our company's equity compensation programs, including overseeing junior plan administrators, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting strategy on equity plan design and implementation, all under the guidance of our Vice President, Executive Compensation, Equity, and Total Rewards (Americas). The successful candidate will excel at identifying operational efficiencies and interacting with parties of diverse experience levels and backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration of our global equity compensation and benefits plans, including stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and employee stock purchase plans (ESPPs).
- Manage a team of junior administrators of these global equity plans.
- Develop, implement, and document policies and procedures for equity plan administration.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to equity compensation, including coordinating with internal and external experts to manage global compliance.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, tax, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of equity compensation.
- Develop and refine employee communication materials and communication plans on equity compensation and manage the distribution and maintenance of these materials.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on equity compensation matters, from HR business partners and hiring managers to individual employee responses.
- Support any required compliance reporting, including preparation of the equity portions of compensation tables in the annual proxy statement.
- Manage share pool tracking and internal reporting on omnibus plan reserves.
- Conduct regular audits of equity plans to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in equity compensation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in equity compensation administration
- Strong knowledge of equity compensation regulations and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prior team management experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in equity compensation software and tools, particularly in third-party equity administration platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and actively engage in tasks, including the willingness to navigate challenges to get to a well-considered outcome.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation.
- Experience with global equity compensation programs.
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience around global plans and decentralized payroll systems.
- Prior experience building out or refining equity administration for a U.S. public company.
- Experience with executive compensation programs and proxy statement compensation reporting.
