Finance -Consultant/Sr. Consultant

 

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Finance Transformation Sr. Consultant/Consultant with a strong background in the Insurance industry, as well as expertise in Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) frameworks. As a Finance Transformation Sr. Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of projects within our client’s organization, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Insurance industry, along with a proven track record of leading successful projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Determining client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches,
  • Evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement.
  • You will have the opportunity to lead client engagements, oversee the quality of deliverables, and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
  • You will also participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities.

Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in Finance organizations or consulting setting in the Insurance Industry, working on projects around Finance transformation, process improvements, financial planning redesign, service delivery model design and implementation, and other critical elements of the Finance function.
  • Experience with Finance in a Digital world technologies such as process automation through robotics, predictive analytics and visualization etc.
  • Expertise in Finance Service Delivery, Finance Operations, FP&A, Finance Strategy, or EPM
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects using Agile methodologies and SDLC frameworks.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25% (Current expectations and experiences are that role will primarily be remote with limited travel to client site(s) as required for certain projects)

Preferred Skills:

  • Specific experience should include but not be limited to, assessing the Finance organization, identifying initiatives supporting a future state roadmap.
  • Strong knowledge and application of Agile principles and practices, such as Scrum or Kanban, as well as familiarity with SDLC frameworks like Waterfall or iterative development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Agile project management software and tools for planning, tracking, and reporting project progress.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

Compensation

  • A compensation package will be dependent on experience.
