Food Production Manager
We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Food Production Manager to join our growing team in Detroit!
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for working as part of a team, responsible for the coordination of a designated food production area. The designated manager functions as a link between Planning & Production, Product Quality and the customer facing Front End entailing Events, Charters, Account coordination.

Responsibilities:
-
Ensures that all food production, material and customer service organizations follow established food safety practices as defined by company policy and the unit Quality Assurance/HACCP Manager.

Adhere to food safety compliance, HACCP regulations, and FDA regulations.

Implement and internalize Lean and Quality initiatives in the CSC, support others. Improve CSC work processes, lead change, and roll model positive behavior and teamwork throughout the facility.

Plan, organize and implement new menu cycle changes. Train workforce on new menu food preparation needed to support changes.

Ensure materials products used in production meet customer menu specifications. Manage food cost and minimize facility food materials inventory days on hand by working closely with the Materials and Chefs.

Manage allocated labor to optimize productivity and accomplish sales labor revenue rate targets. Schedule associates as needed in support of customer needs. Adjust labor to support business volumes.

Train and monitor new hires and ensure accurate staffing levels.

Must have thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures regarding food safety and employee safety. Insures compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

Proactively provides recommendations to the management team regarding business practices at the facility, while closely coordinating activities with the Operations and Materials departments. Acts as a champion for all company initiatives and serves as a role model for others.
Qualifications:

Experience in a high-volume food service or food manufacturing establishment.

Culinary knowledge in terms of procedures and practices.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet timeline goals and deadlines.

Knowledgeable in using Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and general food safety standards knowledge is required.

Knowledge of catering set-up procedures and presentation skills.

Ability to communicate and write in English

Ability to work with a diverse group.

Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.

Hands-on approach, self-driven and dedicated personality.
