Job Summary:

PeakLogix is an industry leader in providing innovative solutions that enable our clients to be more efficient and productive in the material handling market segment. PeakLogix is currently seeking a technically minded, talented, and highly motivated experienced Business Analyst to join our PickPro WMS product development team. We are specifically looking for professionals with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of all types of material handling storage solutions, including static storage systems, automation solutions, and WMS/WCS software solutions. The top candidate will have extensive experience in writing functional requirements for software products and then validating those requirements prior to delivering solutions to customers. The successful candidates will be placed on an accelerated learning and development path with in-depth training on the PickPro products. Primary Duties:

You will work closely with our software developers, project managers, and our sales team to learn our products and how our clients use our products to gain efficiencies through automation in their warehouses, distribution centers, and in their manufacturing facilities.  You will apply this information to:

  • Provide support to the sales team by doing product demos and educating our perspective and existing clients on how to customize our solutions to meet their needs.
  • Document client’s operational requirements and gain signoff of those requirements from both the client and our development team.
  • Convert client’s requirement into product specifications.
  • Write functional requirements to support product enhancements.
  • Analyze client data and help them optimize the use of our Warehouse Management suite of tools to improve productivity and quality.
  • Write user acceptance test plan and then perform the UAT testing on site just prior to our system going live.
  • Write client specific training documents and train our clients on how to use our products. 
  • Make sure the client and our development team are aligned throughout the life of our clients
  • Mine data and produce custom reports.
  • You will be the client advocate and voice of our clients.

Position Requirements:

  • 3+ years of writing use cases, and business and technical requirements.
  • 5+ years creating professional looking training or technical documents.
  • 5+ years of experience doing educational presentations and training.
  • 2+ years working with SQL
  • Must have 2+ years working in an Agile environment.
  • BS in a software related field or BA degree, or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have a strong desire to learn and master warehousing principles along with emerging technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%).

 

Highly Desired Experience:

  • An IT background
  • Knowledge of material handling products including static storage systems, automation solutions, goods-to-person fulfillment systems, and WMS/WCS software solutions
  • 2+ years of experience in the material handling market segment
