Associate Producer
SUMMARY
Responsible for meeting individual sales goals and new business targets, in addition to completing assigned sales and product knowledge training. Associate Producers are mentored by an experienced Producer or Producer Revenue Group to provide an inexperienced individual with the opportunity to become a Producer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists Producers in development of new business and maintenance of existing business.
• Learns from a mentoring producer; attends multiple client visits including, Renewal Meetings, Prospect Meetings/Dinners/Lunches, RFP Interviews, traveling to where client is located.
• Conducts visits with the client/service team members to client locations to retain and service clients.
• Contacts/cold calls new and established businesses for purposes of placing their insurance.
• Sells renewal business to existing clients.
• Assures proper procedures regarding file set up is in compliance with company standards.
• Develops and maintains a prospect file for new accounts using personal efforts, agency procedures, cold contacts and referrals.
• Develops, maintains and documents contacts with prospects in order to gain information on expirations and anniversary dates, insurance needs, and receptiveness to proposals.
• Analyzes clients needs to assure account is appropriate for program(s) and or products.
• Conducts sales presentations.
• Attends Association Meetings to develop new relationships.
• Maintains contact with insured so that on renewal appropriate coverages are in force.
• Maintains professional relationships with co-workers in order to retain and expand agency-insured relationships, and develop internal cross-sell referrals where possible.
• Ensures ongoing servicing of the accounts assigned by Producers.
• Promotes to clients the other services offered by Alliant.
• Writes and coordinates Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
• Participates in the planning/development/participation of various trade associations meetings, events and conferences, etc..
• Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two (2) or more years industry or related experience
Demonstrated potential for identifying and soliciting new business prospects in concert with the mentoring Producer, supported by proven product knowledge and/or relevant sales experience
Valid Insurance License within 60 Days
Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
Accredited Accounts Receivable Manager (ARM)
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)-IFEBP
