Consulting Manager, Specialty Compensation Consulting
SUMMARY
Responsible for identifying the business problems of clients, developing proposals for potential engagements, including quote generation, defining project plans, managing project execution, and coordinating internal resources. Supports leadership team with strategic planning and goal setting. Supports the hiring, training, and development of staff as well as the overall performance of their department, often through subordinate managers or team leads (i.e. Senior Consultants). Provides clients with unmatched service and expertise related to the design and management of their compensation programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees client engagements in a Project Manager capacity, ensuring overall quality assurance, subject matter expertise, and guidance to team.
- Creates and maintains working relationship and accountability to the client.
- Manages assigned staff or contractors to ensure project deliverables and deadlines are met.
- Manages extensive quantitative data to solve problems and influence clients.
- Creates meaningful, high-quality reports detailing the firm's analysis of a client's challenges and opportunities.
- Analyzes root causes, pinpoint problems, and propose fact-based, analytical and cost-effective solutions.
- Drives and identifies meaningful business development opportunities.
- Develops effective financial models.
- Makes recommendations through in-person/remote presentations or in written format.
- Serve as trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance and recommendations on compensation strategies, policies, and programs.
- Assists clients with the design, implementation, and administration of compensation strategies and programs to align with organizational goals and ensure competitiveness in the market.
- Leads team in conducting in-depth market research and analysis to benchmark compensation practices and ensure client offerings are competitive.
- Stays updated on industry trends, legal requirements, and emerging practices in compensation management to ensure compliance and share knowledge and insights with clients and internal team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of compensation programs with broader business strategies.
- Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).
- Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar discipline with analytics or equivalent combination of education and experience
SKILLS
Complex problem-solving and time management skills
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Office
Highly analytical, detail-oriented, critical thinker who can tell a story using data
Able to meet tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently to achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
