Training Specialist
SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and delivering engaging training content for employees, using a variety of methods and media that result in high levels of retention, appropriate application of content, and career advancement for staff. Supports the onboarding of acquired companies and their personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to analyze training needs and write content to develop key skills;
• Create and deliver courses, learning objects, and materials to meet knowledge needs throughout Alliant using various tools. Content may include Property & Casualty and other insurance-related topics;
• Obtain data to measure training impact and return on investment;
• Participate in content and design review of courses, learning objects, and materials using surveys, interviews, and course evaluations, then update content as needed;
• Enhance employee experience through effective content management of the training intranet site;
• Provide end-user support for the learning management system and other agency systems;
• Create and/or update curriculum that supports technology systems;
• Continuously evaluate processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements;
• Contribute to special projects as needed;
• Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local laws, wherein the Company operates.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two (2) or more years of experience delivering training, required
Two (2) or more years of experience with learning management systems and eLearning authoring tools, required
Two (2) or more years of experience in project coordination, required
Working knowledge of Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline 360, required
Experience with Cornerstone LMS software, preferred

Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
Outstanding written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills
Ability to effectively facilitate meetings and group discussions, in-person and virtually
Proven ability to work in a team and foster teamwork
Passion for training and assisting others, in-person and virtually
Adept in managing multiple projects and comfortable with rapidly changing priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint
