Commercial Assistant Account Manager - OCIP Administration
SUMMARY
Responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting Producers by servicing existing accounts and soliciting new business. This role includes assisting on assigned accounts, with a strong focus on renewal strategy, marketing, and OCIP program administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports Producers in developing new business opportunities for both existing clients and prospects.

Initiates and manages the renewal process for expiring policies, working with the Producer to develop strategic renewal plans.

Analyzes client exposures and insurance needs; develops specifications for both new business and renewals.

Markets and packages applications to carriers; negotiates pricing, commissions, and coverages.

Reviews and summarizes marketing results, prepares detailed proposals and client presentations.

Conducts comprehensive coverage comparisons, negotiates rates, and ensures competitive and accurate quotes.

Assists with proposal preparation and client presentations, including responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

Coordinates with Producers to finalize proposals and deliverables.

Participates in client meetings as needed or directed by the Producer.

Reviews issued policies for accuracy, identifies deficiencies, and recommends appropriate coverage adjustments.

Assists with pre-meetings, WrapX software, contractor interface, and contractor credit negotiations.

Supports OCIP administration by coordinating contractor enrollments, tracking compliance, issuing certificates, and responding to contractor and carrier inquiries.

Reviews OCIP program documentation and coverage structures to ensure proper implementation and alignment with project requirements.

Analyzes and processes certificate requests, including preparation of draft certificate templates.

Binds insurance coverage and prepares insurance binders.

Gathers underwriting information and prepares accurate applications for submission.

Responds to client accounting inquiries, corrects discrepancies, and manages collections on past due accounts.

Maintains agency management system data standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Composes correspondence to insureds and underwriters, and handles service inquiries requiring research and carrier interaction.

Performs additional tasks and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Four (4) or more years related work experience
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor
Valid insurance license
SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
Good problem solving and time management skills
Intermediate typing skills (30-35 wpm)
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
