Commercial Insurance Account Executive - Casualty Energy
SUMMARY
Responsible for understanding client risks, collaboratively developing and executing casualty placement strategy, negotiating and placing casualty program, and providing strong client service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Builds and develops relationships with clients, prospects, markets and internal teams.
• Manages all client required services and maintains client relationship with minimal input from Producers.
• Responsible for renewal business and soliciting additional lines of coverage.
• Reviews quotes, advises client of any coverage changes, prepares and presents to client renewal analysis.
• Provides analysis and recommendations concerning client's existing coverages.
• Crafts and delivers the renewal strategy and submission documents.
• Obtains renewal exposure information from clients, reviews for accuracy, analyzes loss data as needed.
• Facilitates client engagement with insurance markets.
• Binds renewals in accordance with client direction, timely reviews binders and policies for conformance with clients bind orders.
• Provides clients with reviewing insurance requirements and training client stakeholders.
• Manages and negotiates insurance provisions with third party vendors.
• Builds and manages relationships within the internal casualty practice, insurance markets, and clients.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with carriers and/or underwriters.
• Provides consistent messaging concerning market conditions, pricing and coverage trends to the Casualty team.
• Supports client retention by working closely with Alliant Service team.
• Manages book of business through direction of employees on service team.
• Serves as technical expert, assisting department members to resolve complex issues.
• Creates new client sales opportunities.
• Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).
• Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Eight (8) or more years related work experience
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
Five (5) or more years Power and utility experience preferred
Insurance designations (ex. ARM, CRIS, CPCU, ERIS) preferred
Valid Insurance License

Ability to lead and direct an assigned service team and to foster collaboration with cross functional team members
Knowledge of broad business acumen to understand the Client's business and insurance issues
Strong understanding of technical insurance knowledge and ability to provide guidance to clients

Excellent at being detailed and organized
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
