Senior Application Support Engineer
What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Senior Application Support Engineer. A Senior Application Engineer is a highly specialized, senior-level technical support role responsible for resolving complex and critical issues, often involving system architecture, software integrations, or advanced cloud troubleshooting for applications developed in house and ensuring suitable resolution of issues, incidents, and service requests for these applications. This role involves monitoring of system logs, alert emails, job failures and acting on these immediately to provide timely resolution. You will also be responsible for creating and executing SQL queries to validate data, extracting data based on customer needs. Proactive continuous improvement is a crucial expectation for this role, and this will involve automation, scripting, working with development team on ensuring a move to self-service for customers.

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
• Resolving complex issues that require in-depth knowledge of systems, networks, and software.
• Identifying the underlying causes of technical problems to prevent recurrence.
• Working with other support levels, product developers, and vendors to find comprehensive solutions.
• Understanding and troubleshooting issues related to system architecture and configurations.
• Possessing a high level of expertise in software troubleshooting.
• Replicating customer environments to isolate and diagnose complex software issues.
• Investigating performance bottlenecks and identifying areas for optimization.
• Offering guidance and support during software deployments, upgrades, and testing.
• Coordinating communication between customers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders during critical incidents.
• Contributing to the development of new troubleshooting methodologies and solutions.
• Escalate issues appropriately to your supervisor needing attention.
• Creating Knowledge Management articles for undocumented resolutions and add such Documentation to the Service Knowledge Management System.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure.
• Understanding of network concepts and technologies.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages can be helpful.
• Should be available outside of regular work hours to ensure critical issues get resolved promptly to minimize downtime.
Qualifications & Skills
• 3-5 years of experience working in a related field
• The ability to prioritize tasks and respond with a sense of urgency. Timely and constant communication to the Customer is critical for this role
• Effectively communicate both verbally and in written form to all levels of staff
• Work in an effective, consistent manner, maintaining quality assurance and compliance with established directives, policy, and best practices
• Strong analytic skills and ability to apply critical thinking and a methodical approach to problem identification and resolution
• Experience supporting and managing business applications
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• High attention to detail, process oriented, and ability to understand business and technology impact
• Strong sense of ownership and thoroughness, with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly
