What We Need  

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Director of Strategic Sales within our Strategic Partners Payables line of business, which provides a comprehensive suite of online B2B payment solutions from AP automation to commercial expense cards and bill payment. This position is responsible for revenue production through our channel partner program. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining an active pipeline, presenting Corpay's solutions to prospective partners, signing new partners and driving incremental revenue. You will work with other members of the Strategic Partners Group as well as cross functional teams to help design the optimal partnership structure for each new partner.

As a Director of Strategic Sales, you will be expected to work in a virtual environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities 

  • Prospecting
    • Create your own prospect list through online research, referrals, colleagues, etc
    • Make outbound calls/emails/LinkedIn messages to prospective partners 
    • Develop a healthy pipeline that is at least five times the size of your annual goal
    • Track all pipeline activity in Salesforce.com
    • Provide monthly updates on pipeline progress
  • Present Corpay’s solutions to prospective partners.
    • Clearly articulate the Corpay value prop
    • Identify the optimal partnership structure for each new partner
    • Leverage marketing materials to help communicate value prop
    • Gain a full understanding of Corpay's offerings
  • Sign new partners
    • Negotiate contracts; can be complex in some cases
    • Create appropriate pricing construct for each particular deal
    • Ensure the agreement provides meaningful value for all parties
    • When necessary, write business cases to justify new partnership type opportunities 
  • Drive incremental revenue
    • Guide implementation team, relationship manager, and account manager teams to help get program up and running as quickly as possible
    • Assist partner with initial training or sales calls if necessary
    • Help create a foundation that partner can build on
  • Stay abreast of any changes within the corporate payments space and with Corpay’s product offerings
  • Provide management with monthly updates on pipeline and progress of won deals

  

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Corporate payments experience is mandatory
  • 7+ years of consultative sales experience
  • Experience selling to all levels with corporate clients – especially C-suite
  • Ability to independently develop and maintain a pipeline (in Salesforce.com)
  • Proven track record of solid results against goals/plan
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, relationship building, and presentation skills
  • A passion for the activity needed to excel – making one more phone call, one more visit, etc.
  • Must be able to manage time effectively and work independently without direct supervision
  • Travel required (approx. 25%)

This salary range is provided for locations which require such disclosure. Where a position or applicant may fall in a particular wage range varies depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications (if applicable), and other business and organization needs.  The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic markets.  At Corpay, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Estimated salary is $150,000 plus a competitive commission plan
