SUMMARY: The Aviation Accessory Technician II is responsible for performing maintenance on limited fuel, oil, or air accessories by civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assemble limited fuel controls, or limited governors, or all fuel, oil, or air accessories.
- Test limited fuel, oil, or air accessories (Excluding fuel controls and governors) on provided testing benches.
- Utilize hand tools and specialty tools for precision measurements daily.
- Read and interpret technical data and drawings.
- Generate data plates for components completed with use of a laser system.
- Troubleshoot components failing test or set up to determine root cause of failure.
- Work closely with quality assurance and engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant/technical work experience.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and test equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
- High Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, component maintenance manuals (CMMs), and engineering drawings.
- Basic computer operating skills.
- Flexible to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of technical work experience in aviation maintenance, MRO, or accessory repair.
OTHER:
- The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
