SUMMARY: Seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 administrator to manage, configure, and support our Office 365 environment. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra, Intune, and related security and compliance features. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in user management, troubleshooting, and optimizing Office 365 solutions to enhance productivity and support business objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide support for Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, OneDrive, Intune, Entra and their related integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Microsoft 365 services, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to users.
- Collaborate with Tier 1 and 2 support to escalate and manage high-priority incidents, providing guidance and subject matter expertise.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 configurations and governance structures ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational policies.
- Assist team leads in establishing and integrating new products, services, operational processes, and system configurations.
- Assist users in developing their own Microsoft 365 solutions providing guidance and best practices.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts to support cloud configuration and administration.
- Support and assist security in the implementation of Conditional Access Policies, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), data loss prevention (DLP), Artificial Intelligence and information governance.
- Work closely with the security team to identify cloud vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and to help mitigate.
- Monitor the performance and availability of Microsoft 365 services, responding proactively to any potential issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures, configurations, and operational processes.
- Assist in the deployment and management of security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, consolidations, and integrations (to include MS entra SSO integrations with third party SAAS products)
- Stay updated with the latest M365 features, updates, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Reviews ticketing system to ensure assigned tickets are being identified and issue effectively resolved in compliance with policies and service-level agreements.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field; or a combination of relevant specialized technical certifications in related field
- or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and support.
- In-depth knowledge and proven experience solutioning using Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Security & Compliance, Entra, and Power Platform.
- Knowledge of performing Microsoft 365 tenant migrations and integrations.
- High proficiency in PowerShell scripting for administration, automation, and configuration management.
- Strong understanding of Identity Management, Application Registrations, Enterprise Applications, SAML, and SSO.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to work on multiple projects and stay within scope, schedule, cost, and quality specifications.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation, and work flexible schedules, holidays, and weekends.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or other cloud providers
- Experience with AvePoint Governance or other Microsoft 365 governance tools
- Experience with ShareGate Migration Tool or other Microsoft 365 migration services tools
- Experience with Plumsail Forms.
- Technical certifications, certificate programs, and/or higher-level training.
