POSITION SUMMARY: STAFF ACCOUNTANT
- Reports to the Accounting Supervisor
- Located in Mansfield, MA
- Full-Time
- In Office/Hybrid
The Staff Accountant plays a critical role in our finance team, responsible for various accounting duties including journal entries, detailed reporting, reconciliations, and assisting the Accounting Supervisor with general accounting tasks. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare journal entries to facilitate the month-end close process.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts and identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.
- Reconcile bank activity to the general ledger.
- Post Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions to subledger (invoices, cash receipts and disbursements, etc).
- Post Fixed Asset transactions to maintain up-to-date fixed asset records and prepare reconciliations.
- Post intercompany transactions accurately and timely.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial information to internal and external stakeholders.

- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.

- Capacity to work independently while also being a proactive team player.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university
- 2 – 4 years of experience in accounting or general ledger roles.
- Familiarity with ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning systems) and accounting cycles.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
