About the Role

As a Grounds Technician, you'll be an essential part of our team, contributing to the upkeep and enhancement of our school's beautiful grounds. You'll work closely with our Landscape Foreman to ensure safety, efficiency, and high-quality results on every job. This is a full-time, hourly,  position, working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks crucial to maintaining stunning outdoor environments:

• Preparing for the day: Assisting with loading equipment for daily jobs.
• Ensuring Safety: Always working safely and looking out for the safety of your teammates. You'll also report any unsafe equipment, property damage, or quality issues to your Crew Foreman.
• Lawn Care & Maintenance: Performing tasks like mowing, leaf removal, trimming, edging, and mulching.
• Operating Equipment: Safely using various landscaping equipment, including blowers, weed-eaters, trimmers, and mowers.
• Planting & Watering: Assisting with planting trees and shrubs, and ensuring they are properly watered.
• Grounds Work: Performing light grading with hand tools.
• Material Handling: Assisting with the distribution of granulated fertilizers and grass seeds.
• Observation: Notifying the Crew Foreman of any turf/plant diseases or dead plant material on job sites.
• Seasonal Support: Participating in snow removal activities when applicable.
• Other duties as assigned to support the team.
