What You'll Do: Drive Growth Through Strategic Sales & Business Development
This isn't just a job; it's a mission to transform how private educational institutions manage their facilities. You'll be at the forefront of our sales efforts, responsible for:
- Aggressively expanding our client base by championing strategic business development and sales initiatives with private K-12 schools and universities across the vibrant Southeast United States.
- Proactively identifying and engaging key decision-makers, scheduling compelling presentations, and expertly closing sales deals that truly make a difference for educational institutions.
- Crafting and delivering tailored solutions and proposals that directly address the unique operational needs of each school, leveraging your acute business development insight.
- Representing The Budd Group with excellence at industry trade shows and events, actively cultivating valuable connections and generating a robust pipeline of new sales leads.
- Implementing effective business development strategies to dramatically increase our market share, particularly within the dynamic Higher Education sector.
What You'll Bring: A Proven Track Record in Education Sales & Business Development
We're looking for a seasoned professional who can hit the ground running. You'll need:
- 4+ years of undeniable B2B sales and business development experience, with a consistent history of not just meeting, but exceeding sales quotas.
- Demonstrated success in selling directly to K-12 schools or universities, coupled with a strong grasp of their procurement processes and pain points.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills – these are the bedrock for effective sales and business development in this role.
- Proficiency in utilizing digital CRM tools (like Salesforce.com) to efficiently manage leads, track progress, and optimize your sales funnel.
- A strong willingness to travel extensively (50-75%) throughout the Southeastern United States to cultivate and successfully close high-value sales opportunities.
