Janitorial Day Porter

Job Title: Janitorial Day Porter
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Hours: Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6:30 pm
Location: Durham, NC

Requirements:

• 1 year of cleaning experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check.
• Be at least 21 years of age and have at least 5 years of driving history.
• Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Restock bathrooms and put away supplies.
• General cleaning.
• Pull trash.
• Dusting.
• Clean restrooms.
• Vacuuming.
• Other cleaning duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Job Duties:

• Deliver daily FedEx, UPS, DHL, and other courier shipments to all locations.
• Deliver & Pickup mail to related company sites and select external partners.
• Operate a Digital Postage Metering System and perform basic repair.
• Knowledge of Postage rates for Domestic, International, Certified & Overnight mail.
• Maintain Company mail van and maintain a clean driving record.
• Work closely with Clayton warehouse receiving personnel to deliver packages.
• Work with payroll department to deliver paychecks to other company sites.
• Assist all employees with urgent or special delivery needs.
• Update monthly mail list.
• Be aware of all new employees and assist them, if needed, with company mail procedures.
• Check locations for any packages for delivery to other company sites.
• Perform building audits and maintain & update the audit spreadsheets.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms and hands.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally operate a pallet jack, hand truck, and personal computer.
• Occasionally required to talk or hear.
