Location: Lynchburg, VA Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with 1 rotating weekend required per month.

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Plumber to join our dedicated facilities team.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a seasoned Plumber to manage and maintain all plumbing systems across our school campus. This is a vital role responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, repair, and installation of water, drainage, and other piping systems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and appliances.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, pipe breaks, and low water pressure.
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning pipes, fittings, valves, and other plumbing components.
- Install new plumbing systems and fixtures during renovations or new construction projects.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on plumbing infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies, including during scheduled rotating weekend shifts.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all plumbing work performed, including parts used and time spent.
- Collaborate effectively with other facilities team members and contractors.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven plumbing experience, preferably in a commercial, institutional, or educational setting.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, pipe systems (copper, PVC, PEX, cast iron, etc.), water heaters, pumps, and general plumbing tools and equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic abilities to identify plumbing issues and implement effective, lasting solutions.
- Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting heavy objects, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions and confined spaces as required.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient campus environment.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is required.
