Director of Facilities
The Director of Facilities reports directly to the Director of Finance & Operations and is responsible for the mechanical operations and maintenance of all School buildings, grounds, and related tools and equipment; supervising and supporting assigned personnel in the performance of their related job functions, and developing short- and long-term facility and equipment. They receive support from The Budd Group’s procurement, recruitment, training and quality control teams. They also attend School Board Meetings.
The Director maintains a safe and secure environment for students, employees, and visitors by planning, developing, sport fields, buildings, parking control, and traffic enforcement programs, accident prevention procedures, risk management support, fire safety, emergency management and asset protection.

Specific responsibilities that support these priorities include the following:
- Manages and performs maintenance, service contracts, and upkeep of all campus buildings and grounds. This includes management of:
- HVAC systems
- Electrical and plumbing systems
- Landscaping, grass cutting, tree care
- Snow removal
- Athletic fields (other than playing surfaces)
- Irrigation system
- Janitorial services
- Trash Removal
- Pest control
- Conducts routine and periodic inspections of school grounds and facilities for the purpose of ensuring they are in a condition of excellence that enable the optimum use of the facilities at all times.
- Initiates and prioritizes proper actions for the expedient resolution of all work requests.
- Coordinates and documents all mandatory state and local inspections, including:
- Fire Marshall
- Fire sprinkler
- Fire panel
- Boiler
- Environmental health
- Stormwater
- Elevator
- Vehicle
- Manages all life safety systems and contracts to ensure all are properly maintained and in good working order. This includes:
- Fire alarm, extinguishers, and sprinkler systems
- Emergency Lighting
- Alarm monitoring
- Traffic flashers
- Manages full-time and part-time Facilities staff and is responsible for their daily supervision including assigning, directing, and overseeing the work performed, providing coaching and counseling as needed, addressing employee concerns, issuing disciplinary action, if needed, and evaluating work performance.
