Floor Tech

Do you have experience in cleaning, maintaining, and restoring floor surfaces? If so we have the opportunity for you.

We’re seeking to add a Floor Technician to our team!

Pay Rate: $21/hr

Hours and Days: Sun-Thurs |4:30pm- 1:00am

Location: Hampton, VA 

Position responsibilities: 

• Cleans offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.

• Knowledge of operating a propane buffer, super stripper, low speed, electric buffer carpet extractor, and automatic scrubber.

• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.

• Assists in the completion of the workload in the absence of others.

• Assists in providing project cleaning of buildings which includes lifting and removing furniture from rooms, refinishing hard surface floors, shampooing carpets, cleaning blinds, light fixtures/shields, washing walls, windows, doors and furniture.

• Operates various types of equipment and machinery, which include wet vacuums, hand trucks, vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, floor buffers, automatic scrubbers, etc.

• Provides assistance with any outside cleaning chores as needed

Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with arms and hands. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. The employee must lift / move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
