General Laborer - Summer Help

Assignment Start date: on or after Monday, May 19, 2025, | Assignment End date: on or before August 15, 2025 

Objective / Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring the campus and all areas are safe.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.                   

General:

• Safely help the distribution site and perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Build boxes for both shipping & production departments.
• General maintenance task in and around the distribution site.
• Complete administrative tasks in support of the various departments. 
• Observe and learn how the Ravago distribution facility operates.
• Perform light industrial tasks as assigned.
• Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
• Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
• Other duties as assigned by assigned Leader.

Inventory Management:

• Notify the department supervisor or assigned leader for supply replenishment.

Safety:

• Adhere to safety measures for cleaning, lifting, moving, and operating equipment.
• Maintain a safe working environment; observe all OSHA and Company safety policies.
• Identify and generate near-miss reports (Stop Stories) and other elements of risk.

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Certifications

1. Education - must be a current Hich School Junior or Senior  
2. Ability to maintain machinery necessary to perform a specialized task.
3. Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions as received. 
4. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Work Environment / Conditions

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience and therefore must be adaptable to.

1. Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise.
2. This job operates both interior and exterior of the building; the incumbent will be exposed to outside weather conditions.
3. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

1. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk and hear.
2. This position is active and requires bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing for the duration of the shift.
3. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to travel by foot, forklift, golf cart, or other means of transportation which require sitting, waiting, and standing for long and short periods of time.
4. The incumbent must frequently lift and move items over 30 pounds.
5. All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.
