General Description
• Assist with the repair, maintenance, and modification of injection mold tools and components
• Operate manual machining equipment (e.g., mill, lathe, grinder) under supervision
• Learn and apply proper tool room safety protocols and machining best practices
• Support experienced technicians with daily tasks and gain exposure to complex tool troubleshooting
• Document work completed and maintain accurate tooling records
• Participate in cross-functional meetings with engineering, maintenance, and production teams
• Progressively take on more advanced responsibilities as training is completed

Prerequisites
• High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational school certification in machining or toolmaking preferred
• Basic understanding of machining principles, tooling terminology, and shop equipment
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced mentors
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment

Education Guidelines

• Exposure to injection molding tooling
• Experience with blueprints, schematics, or CAD drawings
• Familiarity with measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
