INSPECTOR I

SUMMARY:
Inspector I will inspect parts being processed through Receiving and In-Process inspection in accordance with company procedures, production and customer drawings, and industry standards. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Inspect Receiving and In-Process materials for conformance to customer specifications and production/manufacturing drawings. 

•    Maintain inspection reports and record inspection data.

•    Able to use precision handheld and automated measuring equipment, and document detailed dimensional inspection results.

•    Coordinate inspection activities with the leads/supervisors and employees in the area where work is being performed.

•    Read and comprehend blueprints. 

•    Perform review and scanning of completed inspection and work order documents. 

•    Functional knowledge of QT9 QMS software and Alere ERP software modules, as applicable.

•    Adhere to and implement, as applicable, company HSE policies, procedures, and practices.

•    All employees are responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government and LISI Aerospace.

•    All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures always. 

•    All employees are required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.

•    Other duties as assigned.

Also, the ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  
This position has no supervisory duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education and/or Experience    
•    High school diploma or equivalent; 
•    A minimum of 1 year of related experience in inspection; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.


Mathematical Skills   
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) Ability to perform these operations using units and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability   
Ability to deal with typical inspection and product quality issues.

Certificates, licenses, registrations
Evidence of “US person” is required under ITAR

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Hearing level within normal/average range.
