Warehouse Supervisor - Inventory

Pay: $55,000 - $70,000 per year. 

Capitol Distributing is the largest convenience wholesale distributor in Idaho. Founded in 1983, Capitol delivers to retailers across the Western United States from its 300,000 square foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho. 

Schedule: Full-time morning shifts with one weekend day required. Shifts will be 8+ hours in duration. This position will be 40+ hours/week with 2 days off per week.

We are looking for an Inventory Supervisor to oversee specific and/or multiple areas of our warehouse. This position ensures that distribution operations remain a smooth and efficient process by leading employees and organizing workflows. 

Some of what you'll do as the Warehouse Supervisor:

• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
• Assist and report to Control Manager as needed
• Ensure technology equipment and supplies are maintained, charged and ready each day
• Prioritize labor between functions
• Make changes to the daily schedule of breaks as needed
• Strong understanding of all technologies, equipment, and systems used
• Assist with troubleshooting, quick fix, or reporting of equipment failures
• Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to, with a focus on safety
• Conduct formal and informal training for staff
• Monitor Key metrics
• Act as first point-of-contact for employees regarding general questions and scheduling
• Coordinate daily labor schedule changes, answer employee call-ins, review/approve PTO requests, etc.
• Assist in conducting Performance Reviews
• Address and monitor recurring disciplinary issues with employees
• Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

This role is very fast-paced and requires a significant amount of movement to meet role-based deadlines. Individuals in this position should expect to move throughout the facility. The position will require general physical movements such as walking, standing, lifting, bending, twisting, lifting to 50lbs, and reaching. Individuals will also be expected to follow and understand basic instructions/policies.

You'll be a great fit if you have:

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. College degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field a plus.
• 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• 1+ year of experience achieving production or business goals.
• Experience working in a large warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership, proactive thinking, strategic thinking, and problem solving skills.
• The ability to complete and maintain reports, journals, and schedules. 
• The ability to build consensus and relationships with employees.
• Proficiency in technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
