Mental Performance & Leadership Coach
Position Summary:
The Mental Performance & Leadership Coach will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact mental performance and leadership programming to Nord Anglia Education (NAE) partner schools worldwide. This position is based on-site at IMG Academy but requires extensive national and international travel, with site visits involving 2-3 days of onsite program delivery per school.
As an experienced and dynamic speaker and group facilitator, the coach will engage students, parents, educators, and administrators through interactive curriculum-based sessions, immersive training workshops, and ongoing support. Beyond delivery, they will contribute to program development, pre- and post-site engagement strategies, and relationship management to ensure long-term success. Acting as the primary liaison between IMG Academy and participating schools, this role demands strong communication, facilitation, and leadership skills to create meaningful and lasting impact.
Position Responsibilities:
Program Development & Delivery
- Conduct pre- and post-site engagement work to maximize program effectiveness and ensure seamless integration with school initiatives.
- Design and implement evidence-based mental performance and leadership & Character Development programs tailored for NAE partner schools.
- Ensure content is culturally appropriate and inclusive, aligning with IMG Academy and NAE values.
- Demonstrate strong presenting and workshop facilitation skills to effectively engage diverse audiences.
- Deliver engaging, interactive, and experiential content to students, parents, and administrators.
- Conduct onsite program delivery (2-3 days per school visit), adapting sessions to various age groups and school cultures.
- Support and deliver onsite programming at IMG Academy as needed, including but limited to full-time student-athletes, campers, coaches, and external groups/teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Significant National & International Travel
- Must be comfortable with a demanding travel schedule, often spending multiple days per week at different locations.
- Help coordinate travel logistics, scheduling, and accommodations to ensure efficient program execution.
- Travel frequently across the United States and internationally to deliver onsite programming at NAE schools.
- Act as the primary IMG Academy representative at each school visit, fostering seamless collaboration with administrators, coaches, students, and parents.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Serve as the primary point of contact between IMG Academy and NAE partner schools.
- Build strong relationships with school administrators, teachers, coaches, and parents to foster long-term collaboration.
- Work with administrators and educators to integrate mental performance and leadership & character development strategies into school curricula.
- Participate in faculty and staff training, providing expertise on mental performance and leadership & character development.
- Support the professional development of NAE staff during onsite training at IMG Academy.
Curriculum & Resource Development
- Contribute to the design and refinement of standardized mental performance and leadership & character development curricula.
- Help develop supporting materials as needed (presentations decks, handbooks, video content, digital resources) to enhance learning.
- Establish program evaluation metrics to track and improve student outcomes.
- Coordinate curricula development with IMG Academy+ staff.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Master’s degree in Sport Psychology, Leadership, Education, Coaching, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in mental performance, leadership coaching, or sport psychology.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience working with students, educators, and parents in a developmental setting.
- Ability to adapt and customize content for different cultures, age groups, and learning environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders.
- Ability to travel extensively, including international assignments.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AASP Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) or equivalent credentials.
- Bilingual proficiency is an asset.
- Previous experience working in international education or youth development settings.
- Background in applied sport psychology, coaching, or character education.
- Strong understanding of leadership development models and high-performance coaching frameworks.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to travel regularly, including national and international trips.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Must be able to engage in active sessions, including participation in training drills, live coaching, and experiential learning exercises.
