We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist with expertise in Haas Mill and Haas Lathe machine set-up. The ideal candidate will be proficient in programming and operating these machines and will possess the ability to design, simulate, and modify parts using CAD/CAM Software. This position requires a strong understanding of precision machining, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality standards.


What You'll Do:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain Haas Mill and Haas Lathe machines according to production specifications.
  • Program and modify CNC machines using Inventor HSM/Fusion 360 to create high-precision parts.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machine settings and tooling requirements.
  • Perform regular inspections of machine parts to ensure they meet tolerances and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and programming issues with Haas CNC machines.
  • Adjust machine settings, tooling, and feeds to optimize machining processes.
  • Ensure safety protocols are always followed in the workshop.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to ensure that machining processes meet production schedules.
  • Maintain and organize the workspace, including tools and equipment.
  • Document and record all necessary machining parameters and maintenance activities.
  • Continuously strive to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase machine uptime.

What We Need From You:

  • 5+ years of experience in a job shop/high mix low volume environment.
  • Proven experience with Haas Mill and Haas Lathe machine set-up and operation.
  • Proficient in in the use of CAM software to program machines, experience with manual longhand programming a plus.
  • Must be able to edit programs at the control.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, tool selection, feeds and speeds, and material properties.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and/or CAD files.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving CNC machine issues.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) to ensure part accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on producing high-quality parts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; CNC certification or technical training is a plus.
  • Experience with other CNC equipment or software tools.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard quality control procedures and lean manufacturing principles.
  • This position requires standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
