800 - Warehouse - RE-Warehouse Team Leader

General Objectives

To assist the Warehouse Manager or Assistant Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day functions of the Service Center operations while working with and leading warehouse employees in the completion of daily tasks.  Assume supervisory role of Warehouse Workers in the absence of the Warehouse Manager or Assistant Warehouse Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee activities in the warehouse in the Warehouse Manager’s absence.
• Complete, receive, store, and locate furniture/accessories by warehouse employees.
• Monitor inventory to ensure optimal product availability, including managing excess inventory.
• Receive and locate furniture into locations, using barcode scanning.
• Ensure safe handling of product while taking inbounds, pulling for deliveries, or putting product away from Rescheduled deliveries.
• Maintain a safe work environment and notify warehouse manager of any safety issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
• Assist with cycle counts on a quarterly basis.
• May be required to open and close the Service Center.
• Assist in overseeing the outbound delivery dock operation.
• Assist in the pulling of product for home deliveries as well as working to un-carton furniture.
• Must communicate and collaborate with Design Centers, Customer Service, and Retail management.
• Perform any other duties as required.

Job Requirements

• Minimum four (4) years in warehouse distribution environment. Prior management experience preferred.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.  
• Ability to take direction and follow through on projects.
• Requires good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to operate a lift truck.
• Ability to operate a computer and computer barcode system.
• Must work overtime on holidays, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.
