SUMMARY:
The Director of Revenue will oversee inventory and yield management strategies La Bahia as well as hiring, training & supervision of property reservations agents. This position will work closely with property operations, sales & marketing and the Corporate Director of Revenue Management to align and execute strategic revenue goals. Oversight of room inventory management, distribution networks, property reservations and systems alignment will be critical to the success of this position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain complete knowledge of:

- All hotel features/services, hours of operation.
- All room types, numbers, layout, décor, appointments and locations.
- All room rates, special packages and promotions.
- Daily house count and expected arrivals/departures.
- Daily room availability and status. All hotel and departmental policies and procedures.

- Ability to maintain inventory, load all rates, plans, packages and promotions internally and online
- Work closely with the property operations team and Director of Sales & Marketing in the creation and execution of packages and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor check-in and checkout process, ensure agreement to hotel standards, anticipate critical situations and assist wherever necessary to help alleviate the pressure and to process the guest expediently.
- Ability to produce and distribute all necessary reporting to include commissions, “on the books,” 16 day forecast and pace reports.
- Ability to calendar all special events, packages, activities, and credit card authorizations for follow up.
- Ability to work with Sales & Catering on contracts detailing room allotments for groups and to supply all rooming lists for group resume.
- Ability to assign/delete reservations duties and review work for completeness, neatness and compliance to policies and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure that the reservation areas are kept clean and always organized.
- Monitor all reservations staff performance in all phases of service and job functions, ensuring that all procedures are carried out to departmental standards; rectify any deficiencies with respective staff.
- Handle all employee communications on a timely and efficient manner.
- Adhere to hotel safety program and emergency procedures for guests and staff.
- Ability to participate in management meetings and seminars.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Minimum of two years’ guest relations, revenue and yield management experience in a luxury hotel/resort environment.
- Must be professional, excellent interpersonal skills, impeccable verbal and communication skills with guests in person and over the telephone.
- Must have knowledge of Windows based programs. Delphi, Opera and Sabre/SynXis experience preferred but not required.
- Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
- Must meet legal age requirements for the position.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school education; two years’ experience in related field.
- Degree with related experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Exceptional English language verbal and written business communication skills are required. Bi-lingual skills are desirable but not required.
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:
- Valid California Driver License is required
- Current DMV printout of driving record
