Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise, motivate, and assist a large team of drivers and driver helpers, including managing schedules and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
  • Receive important incoming calls and information from airline clients and the airport, and communicate it to the respective departments.
  • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as outlined in the Food Safety Management System Handbook.
  • Report any issues with the food safety management system to the manager and the hygiene and food safety team.
  • Ensure all vehicles are in working condition, including compliance, fueling, and maintenance.
  • Process all meal ordering information and ensure prompt and accurate distribution to all involved departments.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Maintain a safe workplace, and relay general information regarding department policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws to the public and concerned parties.
  • Create, review, and maintain reports as necessary.
  • Update and maintain transportation databases.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to meet all requirements necessary to obtain a PANYNJ ID (Port Authority of NY/NJ) in compliance with TSA regulations (49 CFR §1542.209).
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a similar role.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Strong team leadership qualities and outstanding communication skills.
  • High dedication to customer service with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with effective decision-making abilities.
  • Hands-on approach to ensure all flights are successfully dispatched on time.
  • Ability to quickly address and manage deficiencies within the transportation department.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
