In this role, you'll be the go-to expert supporting the daily administration of our benefits and retirement plans while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our dedicated workforce. From open enrollment to compliance reporting and payroll audits, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our team supported, informed and paid with precision. Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Process biweekly payroll accurately, including garnishments, wage assignments, and levies.

  • Maintain compliance with all payroll-related regulations; reconcile, audit, and finalize payroll.

  • Complete year-end processing including W-2s and 1095s.

  • Ensure accurate benefit enrollments and data integrity within the HRIS.

  • Administer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) plans.

  • Support employees with benefits-related questions, claims issues, and plan changes.

  • Assist with open enrollment and qualifying life event processing.

  • Interpret and administer FMLA, ADA, and other leave-of-absence requests.

  • Manage 401(k) contributions and annual catch-up enrollments.

Other Duties

  • Perform regular audits and generate reports for benefits billing and allocations.

  • Ensure compliance reporting including EEOC, BLS and OES.

  • Assist with onboarding and termination processes as related to payroll and benefits.

  • Administer workers’ compensation claims and documentation.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to share HRIS tasks and team responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' progressive experience in Human Resources or Benefits Administration preferred.

  • Payroll processing experience required, accuracy and compliance must be second nature.

  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels.

  • High ethical standards with a strong sense of confidentiality and discretion.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with employment law, payroll compliance, and benefit regulations.

  • Ability to make sound decisions independently and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
