The Regional F&I Trainer will be responsible for monitoring all activities of their respective region’s variable departments with a focus on F&I and communicating their activities to the regional support and operational leaders. Works with the GMs to maximize your F&I department’s production in PVR & product penetrations. Responsible to ensure your dealerships are following all compliance policies and report any violation to the GM Regional F&I leaders, and corporate office.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides schedule 2 weeks in advance outlining game plan for activities with a copy to Area VPs, GM’s and any additional stakeholders
- Manages all aspects of training coordination for region including scheduling classes, notifying participants and sharing appropriate results with leaders
- Updates all training data within the Learning Management System to support reporting and tracking and provides additional updates as needed
- Ensures that our F&I managers have completed F&I Certification Class and any mandatory variable compliance training within 60 days of entering department
- Ensures that all F&I managers complete our F&I Certification Learning Refresher training once per calendar year
- Ensures that all variable managers complete Compliance training once per calendar year
- Conducts and lead compliance and menu training with staff
- Role plays & trains Interview & Menu, Flow Chart, 4 Part Questioning and additional topics as it pertains to F&I
- Informs the GM and corporate office of any company policy violations
- Ensures that all federal and state regulations are being followed i.e. Red Flags, OFAC, Privacy Notice, credit applications, safeguards and RBPN’s
- Keeps current with all HR training and any other training required for this position
- Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization
Education & Experience
- Minimum 2 to 3 years as Technical Trainer or Lecturer in Automotive
- Ability to train within classroom and virtual spaces
- Fully conversant and able to work in all Microsoft Office Programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills
- Able to explain complex Automobile Theories in simple understandable manner to the Trainees
- Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time
