SUMMARY 

Oversees the productivity and performance of staff management teams and their brokerage service staff at multiple locations in a region. Sets goals and objectives for the region in concert with senior sales and operations leadership. Monitors performance against operational goals and develops reporting and auditing processes used to analyze operational effectiveness. Responsible for coordinating operations with other functions including sales, IT, Legal, Human Resources, Marketing, Professional Development, and Accounting.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Participates with regional senior leadership in planning regional performance goals and operations of client service staff.
  • Contributes to operational effectiveness by partnering with sales and operations leadership to understand service needs and dependencies, produces scalable solutions, facilitates leadership discussions, implements directives, and delivers measurable results.
  • Reviews key brokerage services metrics and works with brokerage services staff management to address issues.
  • Provides oversight of regional staff to ensure a high level of execution including hiring, motivating/mentoring staff, monitoring assignments and projects, providing opportunities for employee training and development, conducting performance reviews, and performing disciplinary action as appropriate.
  • Researches and resolves escalated issues arising from operations and coordinates solutions with other departments.
  • Interacts with corporate recruiting and HR for all hiring and termination work for the region.  Included with all hiring and interviews.
  • Assesses regional staffing needs and resources, reviews budget requests and presents business case to leadership for approval.
  • Works with staff management in evaluating workflow analysis and problem solving.
  • Ensures compliance with company guidelines and internal audit standards.
  • Participates in ongoing leadership training and development.
  • Manage and coordinates client service team assignments for the region.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ten (10) or more years related work experience

Five (5) or more years of staff management experience

Valid Insurance License

Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal

 

SKILLS

Advanced knowledge of brokerage service operations

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, effective communication, leadership technique, organizational methodologies, and coordination of people and resources

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

Good problem solving and time management skills

Ability to understand and express opposing points of view while maintaining positive working relationships

Ability to interact diplomatically with diverse groups of individuals at all organizational levels

Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relationships with others

Ability to develop objectives, evaluate effectiveness, and assess needs

Ability to leverage technology to drive effectiveness

Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget
