VP, Human Resources
Overview:
Aaron’s is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Human Resources to lead our HR function through a time of strategic evolution. Based on-site at our Atlanta Galleria office 4+ days per week, this leader will serve as a key advisor to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), ensuring HR is positioned not just to solve today’s challenges, but to shape our future.
We’re looking for more than a strong operational partner. We’re seeking a transformational leader who leads through people, drives clarity through complexity, and inspires change that lasts. The ideal candidate will bring structure, accountability, and consistency across HR practices while championing a culture that puts people before production.
What You Need:
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at the executive level with Board or C-suite exposure
- Strong track record of executive influence, cross-functional partnership, and stakeholder alignment at all levels
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing HR teams, empowering leaders to execute with clarity and accountability
- Deep expertise in designing and deploying HR scorecards, KPIs, and analytics to connect people strategy with measurable business outcomes
- Demonstarted success leading enterprise-wide transformation and culture change across complex, multi-unit environments (retail or consumer-facing industries preferred)
- Broad expertise across all core HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, HR Operations, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, Payroll, and Culture Shaping
- Strong business and legal acumen; knowledge of employment laws across multiple jurisdictions

- Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and long-term trust across the organization
- Lead forward-thinking initiatives to strengthen talent development, inclusion, and belonging
- Champion culture transformation efforts that balance operational growth with a people-first mindset
- HR Strategy & Operational Excellence
- Drive the continued evolution of HR practices to enhance agility, responsiveness, and structure
- Oversee the effectiveness of core HR functions, ensuring alignment, consistency, and compliance
- Elevate total rewards strategies to remain competitive, cost-effective, and responsive to team member needs
- Guide HR planning through scorecards, KPIs, and people analytics that link strategy to business outcomes
- Talent Development & Team Leadership
- Cultivate and coach a high-performing HR leadership team, empowering leaders across all areas of HR
- Lead intentional development efforts for HR team members with varied levels of experience and scope
- Build a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement within the HR function
- Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Oversee company-wide talent acquisition strategy, ensuring alignment with workforce needs
- Partner with external providers and internal teams to ensure a strong applicant pipeline, especially for store locations
- Advance employer brand and candidate experience in support of attracting top-tier talent
