Job Summary: 

The Night Crew 3rdis responsible forsupporting the Night Crew Manager and Night Crew 2ndin supervising, directing,and maintainingproper pricing, stocking, facing, and rotation of merchandise in the Grocery department to convey anattractive store image to valued customers. In addition, the Night Crew 3rdassiststhe Night Crew Manager and Night Crew 2ndin ordering store products and scheduling efficientlyaccording to company policy to help ensure that all department operations contribute to the best financialinterest of the store. 

Essential Functions of the Position: 

• Assistin delegating and assigning responsibilities and specific tasks to night crew team members as delegated by store management and ensuring assigned tasks are completedaccording to company standards. 

• Assistin monitoring shelf price integrity and restocking to ensure accuracy, proper product rotation,and quality protection. 

• Assistin monitoring procedures for case cutting to minimize the potential for damaged products and loss to the company.  

• Process damaged and spoiled productsaccording to company policies and procedures. 

• Assistin ordering and inventory control; notifystore management regardinginvoice errors and product shortages according to company policies and procedures. 

• Assistin maintainingthe “Wall of Values,” end displays,and soda wall.  

• Coordinate with the Grocery Manager and Store Director to maintainback-stockitems andmerchandise on store shelves. 

• Take stock ofapplicable storage andworkloadareas. 

• Assistin maintainingfunctions of forklift lifts and other equipment as needed. Reports damaged or malfunctioning equipment to store management. 

• Monitor store conditions and reportareas of concern to store management promptly. 

• Assistin the training and developingof night crew team members as assigned. 

• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge: 

• Understanding of inventory systems and procedures. 

• Awareness of grocery products and categories to handle and store items correctly. 

• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and other relevant health and safety regulations. 

Skills: 

• Precision in checking and recording inventory, ensuring accuracy in stock levels and documentation. 

• Proficiencyin using inventory management software, barcode scanners, and other warehouse technologies. 

• Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with other staff and managing documentation. 

Abilities: 

• Ability to maintainorganized storage areas and manage inventory efficiently. 

• Ability to identifyand resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies or storage problems. 

• Ability to adapt to changing situations, manage multiple demands, and work effectively with diverse personalities. 

• Aptitude for making informed decisions quickly, often in high-pressure environments. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Stand and walk for extended periods, typically 8-hour shifts. 

• Lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequentlyand up to 50 pounds occasionally. 

• Perform repetitive motions such as reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, and handling products. 

• Climbing ladders to perform warehousetasks at elevated heights. 

• Ability to perform tasks that require fine motor skills, such as using tools or handling small objects. 

• Operate equipment to move or store products and displays. 

• Maintain clear communication with team members. 

• Move quickly and efficiently to manage workload. 

• Maintain physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
