Medical Records Technician (on-site)

EXL Health is looking for Document Processors to join our Medical Records Management Team. This full-time role is based in our vibrant Pittsburgh, PA office in the Robinson area. We offer a full benefits package and you will enjoy your weekends free!

As a Document Processor at EXL Health, you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare quality and compliance by managing sensitive medical records with precision and care. Your contributions help improve patient outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support healthcare providers across the country.

• 1230p - 9pm

What You will Do:

Your day-to-day will be engaging and varied!

• Open, review, and sort incoming mail by client and audit program.
• Prepare, process, and review medical records—both physical and electronic—for scanning and distribution.
• Collaborate with internal teams and providers via email to resolve issues.
• Manage return mail, audit letters, and outgoing correspondence.
• Operate office equipment, troubleshoot workflow issues, and meet productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain trackers and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare, medical records, or document processing

Professional Qualifications

• Strong organizational abilities, diligence, and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment, working independently or as part of a team.
