Job Description:

The Project Manager at EXLService.com, LLC in New York, NY, will develop hypotheses and validate them based on analysis of client data, external research and communications with client teams and present findings to working-level client teams. Help develop communications for senior management. Extract knowledge and insights from data in order to investigate complex business problems through a range of data preparation, modeling, analysis and/or visualization techniques, including predictive analysis, business intelligence, pattern recognition, operational effectiveness and/or economic forecasting. Perform project task management including: communications; deck writing; coordination of all sub-team efforts; delivery of output with adequate quality control; facilitation and gathering of client feedback on problem structuring; and effective management of frequency of feedback loop with offshore/onshore EXL resources. Utilize analytics methodologies and analysis tools, including SPSS and SAS to perform all of the following: data extraction, data understanding, variable reduction, Big Data processing, data analysis, model development, model stabilization, and model validation. Utilize SAS, SPSS, R, Hive, Python CART and other statistical software to carry out analysis and drive conclusions and reformulate highly technical information into concise, understandable terms for presentation to the team and the client. Identify the right data sources required to inform relevant insights, metrics and understand key business trends. Import raw data from client data warehouses and databases into statistical analysis software. Build a deep understanding of data required to execute analyses by studying data dictionaries or creating data dictionaries, establish reliability and relevance of data. Evaluate data quality, analyze data to identify trends or relationships among variables, and prepare analytical reports. May work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.

Job Requirements:

Requires Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, economics, mathematics, analytics or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience as a Statistician or a related occupation.  Requires 5 years of professional experience in Data Analytics in the Utilities industry. Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: (1) statistical modelling and machine learning for developing predictive and forecasting models; (2) Data extraction, transformation and processing using SQL. Must also have 2 years of experience with each of the following: (1) Quantitative Analysis tools, including Python, R or SAS; (2) Developing and maintaining reports using PowerBI or Tableau; (3) Leading a project team; (4) maintain databases on SQL Server Management System, Oracle, or AWS.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, Salary range $112,000 to $120,000 per year.
