We are seeking a bold, strategic, and visionary Vice President of Brand & Content to lead the transformation of our brand in the dynamic world of data and AI. As the architect of our brand positioning and storytelling, this leader will shape a powerful, differentiated narrative that resonates with global enterprise clients and C-suite stakeholders.

In this high-impact role, you will drive EXL’s brand and content strategy —from positioning and messaging to digital storytelling, thought leadership, and executive visibility. Key Responsibilities:

 

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Define and elevate a bold, differentiated brand narrative that elevates our positioning at the intersection of domain, data and AI.
  • Lead global brand strategy and governance, ensuring consistency across regions, verticals, and digital platforms while enabling local and industry relevance.
  • Champion the evolution of our brand architecture and visual identity to reflect our data and AI focus and innovation-led culture.
  • Build high impact integrated corporate campaigns that elevate the EXL brand and can be extended across our key geographies and vertical markets.
  • Own and shape the brand voice and style guide for all written and visual EXL branded content.
  • Oversee graphics team; responsible for delivering visually compelling brand marketing, web, video and sales materials.

 

Thought Leadership & Content Strategy:

  • Build and lead a differentiated content and editorial strategy that amplifies our perspective on AI, data-led transformation, customer experience, and industry innovation.
  • Shape and deliver thought leadership that influences enterprise buyers, CXOs, analysts, and media—through whitepapers, PoVs, case stories, research, webinars, videos, podcasts and other interactive formats.
  • Drive innovation in storytelling formats and platforms, ensuring a balance of authority, accessibility, and commercial relevance.
  • Build and maintain standardized and compelling corporate presentations and other brand assets to be used by EXL employees across customer, prospect, partner, analyst and other channels.

 

Executive PR, Communications, Social & Analyst Positioning:

  • Lead a team responsible for driving executive visibility for the CEO and senior leaders—through keynotes, LinkedIn, op-eds, and media engagements.
  • Drive corporate level press and analyst-facing positioning, messaging, and content to reinforce market leadership in domain, data, and AI-enabled services.
  • Provide oversight and creative brand input to elevate PR, Social and Analyst programs.

 

Events Strategy:

  • Lead team responsible for executing more than 100 events across the globe, including EXL led thought leadership events (e.g, AI in Action events, CXO events), tradeshows, sponsored hospitality events, roundtables, and digital events.
  • Support demand generation efforts at events elevated event experiences, demos and other content.

 

Cross-functional Integration:

  • Collaborate across Industry Marketing, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Digital, Communications, Sales Enablement, HR, investor relations and executive leadership to deliver integrated campaigns aligned to strategic priorities and growth levers.
  • Work closely with delivery and solutions teams to translate complex capabilities into compelling value and customer stories.

 

Digital-First Brand Experience:

  • Ensure brand and content consistency across all digital assets—web, social, video, campaigns—anchored in audience insights and SEO best practices.
  • Optimize user engagement through data-driven content performance and digital intelligence tools.

 

Measurement & Optimization:

  • Define and track content and brand performance KPIs, including awareness, perception, engagement, pipeline influence, and brand lift. 
  • Apply insights to iterate storytelling and maximize brand impact across touchpoints and buyer journeys.
  • Strategic & Future-Forward – Able to connect macro trends in AI, tech, and consulting to strategic brand direction.
  • Creative & Editorially Sharp – Shapes compelling stories and content ecosystems with clear voice, tone, and design alignment.
  • Collaborative & Influential – Works seamlessly across teams and leadership levels to drive buy-in and adoption.
  • Agile & Outcome-Oriented – Balances creativity with operational rigor and measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, including leadership of brand and content in a tech or consulting environment; deep familiarity with AI, data, analytics, and digital platforms.
  • Proven success in evolving or transforming a global brand and narrative in alignment with business growth and innovation shifts.
  • Track record of developing content strategies that influence senior stakeholders in enterprise buying cycles.
  • Strong editorial judgment, creative acumen, and storytelling capability—across written, visual, and digital formats.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing ecosystems, content analytics, SEO, and audience segmentation.
  • Experience navigating high-growth, matrixed organizations; global mindset preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
