Job Description:

The Consultant at EXLService.com, LLC in New York, NY, will execute consulting engagements in Governance, Risk and Compliance across different areas involving Operational Risk Management, Process Mapping and Documentation, and Process Optimization projects, with a core focus on the insurance industry. As part of conducting Process Mapping & Operational Risk Assessments for clients, schedule information gathering sessions with process owners and SMEs to develop and update end-to-end process flowcharts using BPM tools including MS Visio, iGrafx, and ARIS. Identify and document key controls that mitigate operational risks. Assess/ test internal controls to ensure their design and operating effectiveness and SOX compliance, identify control gaps and recommend potential control enhancements and process improvements to address gaps. Develop and recommend remediation plans and work with business partners to resolve deficiencies through process changes, improvements, identification of automation opportunities or the addition of new processes. Conduct validation sessions with process owners and key stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy of deliverables. Conduct workshops to understand business landscape and propose and execute process optimization projects to improve the quality and efficiency of business processes via lean methodology, business process reengineering, digitalization and automation which involves coordination and alignment with stakeholders. Assist in data driven analysis using tools including MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau. Telecommuting permitted. Position will work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.

Job Requirements:

Requires Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electronics/electrical engineering or a computer/IT or related field plus Two (2) years of experience in Management Analyst or a related occupation. Requires Two (2) years of professional experience with Operational Risk Management, Governance and Compliance in the US Insurance domain. Employer will accept a 3 year or 4-year bachelor's degree. Must have Two (2) years of experience with each of the following : (1) Process documentation for insurance business operations including, Risk and Control Matrices (RCM) using MS Visio, iGrafx and ARIS (2) SOX compliance for documentation and assessment of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) for Insurance businesses (3) Data analysis for process improvement projects using MS Excel, Power BI and Tableau (4) Lean Six Sigma methodology and Automation for process enhancement of insurance business operations (5) Finance ERP platforms, including SAP and Workday and (6) Agile Project Management using Jira, Google Sheets, and Smartsheet.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, Salary range: $76,000 to $85,000/year.
