What is the opportunity? 

The Financial Analyst is responsible for collecting, monitoring, and analyzing financial data, providing insights into financial performance, and supporting data-driven decision-making. This role requires strong quantitative skills, an understanding of financial principles, and the ability to interpret data and market trends. This is a full-time remote position that will report to the Director of Finance & Global Payroll. 

 

A successful Financial Analyst will:

  • Maintain a strong Christian witness and model servant leadership to colleagues, partners, the communities we serve, and the public.
  • Engage and participate in prayer before and after team meetings.
  • Lead and participate in biblically based staff devotions.   
  • Manage the annual budgeting process for the organization 
  • Develop financial metrics and dashboards in Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Perform financial analyses and modeling required by quarterly financial forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
  • Develop and complete complex financial models and analyses related to opportunities, costs, and cash flows.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to clearly and simply communicate complex data and concepts.
  • Perform analyses of opportunities for carbon credits on safe water projects in the developing world, and guide the prioritization of water projects eligible for carbon credits 
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, mathematics, or statistics.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and high level of cognitive function.
  • Clear understanding of and experience with financial statements.
  • Three years’ experience in financial planning & analysis.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning strongly preferred, but experience with other planning systems will be considered.
  • Experience at a nonprofit organization preferred.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts verbally, graphically, and in written form.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback constructively. 
  • Home internet bandwidth strong enough to support video conferencing and other job-related responsibilities. 
  • Commitment to ending the global water crisis.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
