HCFC- Director of Soccer Operations

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Soccer Operations for Huntsville City FC (HCFC) will lead and oversee all sporting operations in alignment with Nashville SC leadership. This individual will serve as a key point of coordination across departments, ensuring the smooth daily functioning of HCFC while representing the club’s interests within the broader Nashville SC ecosystem. The Director will work closely with the President of Soccer Operations and senior staff at Nashville SC to ensure strategic alignment across all areas of team operations and player development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead daily team operations, including travel logistics and match preparation

• Collaborate closely with the HCFC coaching staff to align team operations and with on-field objectives

• Manage processes related to player movement across the Academy, HCFC, and First Team

• Maintain regular communication and collaboration with the President of Soccer Operations and senior technical and operational staff at Nashville SC

• Provide strong leadership to HCFC staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and professionalism

• Support player recruitment and roster-building in coordination with Nashville SC

• Administer player contracts and ensure compliance with league regulations

• Oversee player welfare programs and day-to-day support structures

• Manage and track operational budgets and team expenses

• Act as a central communication conduit between HCFC and Nashville SC technical leadership

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work collaboratively with technical staff and lead across departments

• High level of motivation and ownership for the success of HCFC as a key property of Nashville SC

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Experience in professional soccer or sports operations environment

• Strong understanding of the MLS ecosystem and professional soccer development pathways
