The Customer Service and Traffic Coordinator is responsible for assisting and engaging with customers on behalf of Washington Mills, ensuring customers are satisfied with products and services, and managing the workflow to organize the shipping or transfer of finished goods and raw materials to the Hennepin Plant. This position must demonstrate strong communication skills both with internal and external customers and must be flexible and adaptable. The Customer Service and Traffic Coordinator reports to the Plant Controller but will also support the Plant Manager and Sales team.
- Coordinates the activities of Inside Sales, Customer Service, Traffic, and Inventory Control of finished goods and raw materials
- Maintains accurate inventory records for all finished goods and raw materials
- Forecasts customers’ finished goods and the plant’s future raw material needs by SKU as well as prepares and updates monthly shipping and sales projections
- Works with Accounting, Operations, Quality Control, and the proposed pull system of the Salesforce
- Schedules raw materials as required by Operations and arranges transportation from barge unloading to plant
- Invoices customers and records shipments using the current software and processes
- Prepares monthly sales reports, relay invoicing information to Controller
What You’ll Need |
To be successful in this position, you must:
- Posses an associate’s degree in business administration and/or traffic management
- Have the ability to demonstrate aptitude in the Customer Service field with a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and ERP/Business Software
- Have a strong aptitude for program/process innovation, the ability to interpret and implement DOT and International freight regulations, and enforce policies in a professional manner
- Be able to multi-task, maintain an organized workspace, and be able to direct others’ activities in a professional manner
